PACK THE PARK: Brownton Bruins honoring Beau Brelje before game Sunday
Amateur baseball fans are encouraged to finish off their weekend at Barney Tadsen Field in Brownton as the Bruins will be honoring Beau Brelje. Beau was diagnosed in March of 2020 with a stage 3 anaplastic Ependymoma brain tumor. He had successful surgery to remove the mass in his right frontal lobe following by seven weekd of radiation and four round of chemo. The chemo has caused some side effects that Beau is still working through but he’s enjoying all the fun a nine year old boy should.
The Bruins will be presenting a check to Beau and his family from their innagural golf tournament, There will be a 50/50 raffle, and Beau will be throwing out the first pitch.
The game against the Glencoe Brewers is scheduled for 4 p.m. Fans are encouraged to come early for the pre-game ceremony.
